My Luxe Backyard runs sales throughout the year on pergolas, gazebos, patio furniture, fire pits, saunas, and cold plunges. This page explains, in full, when a price drop after your purchase qualifies for a one-time adjustment, what doesn't qualify, how our displayed prices work, and how to request an adjustment if you're eligible.

A retailer's honest account of how price adjustments actually work here

My Luxe Backyard is owned and operated by Navarro Living LLC. Outdoor living products like pergolas, gazebos, and saunas naturally go on sale around seasonal moments — spring launch, summer clearance, holiday weekends. Buying right before one of those sales starts is frustrating, so within a defined window we'll credit you the difference on a single item, once, under the conditions below.

This is a courtesy we extend beyond what U.S. law requires. No state or federal law obligates a retailer to refund the difference when its own price drops after a sale is complete. We offer it anyway because it's the fair thing to do, and we've written the conditions here in full so there's no ambiguity about what qualifies.

We wrote this page specifically for the products we actually sell and the promotions we actually run. It isn't a copied template, and we update it whenever our pricing or promotional practices change.

What the words in this policy actually mean

Pricing terminology gets used loosely across retail. Here's exactly what each term means when we use it on this page or on a product listing.

Regular Price

The price a product is offered at outside of a promotional event. It reflects a price we've genuinely offered the item at for a meaningful period, not an inflated number invented to make a sale look larger.

Sale Price

A temporary, discounted price applied during an announced promotional period, shown alongside the regular price on the product page so the comparison is always visible before you buy.

Price Adjustment

A one-time refund of the difference between what you paid and a lower price the same item reaches during your eligibility window, issued without requiring a return or exchange.

Excluded Pricing Event

A discount type — flash sale, loyalty pricing, bundle deal, or clearance — that does not qualify for adjustment, explained fully in the exclusions section below.

Eligibility

When a price adjustment applies

All of the following must be true for a request to qualify. We check each one before approving an adjustment.

Within 14 Days

Counted from delivery date

Your request must reach us within 14 calendar days of the delivery date shown in your shipping confirmation. Requests made after day 14 cannot be processed.

Identical Item

Same product, same variant

The lower price must be for the exact same product listing, including the same size, color, and configuration you purchased — not a similar or related item.

Sold By Us, In Stock

On myluxebackyard.com directly

The lower price must be live on myluxebackyard.com at the time of your request, for an item genuinely in stock and available for purchase, not a marketplace listing or a price we no longer offer.

Purchased At Regular Price

No stacked coupon or promo code

The original order must have been placed at full regular price, without a discount code, loyalty offer, or other promotion already applied.

One Adjustment Per Item

Per order, not per sale event

Each purchased item is eligible for a single adjustment during its 14-day window, even if the price drops more than once during that time.

Order Delivered, Not Returned

Item kept, not sent back

Price adjustments apply to items you're keeping. If you'd rather return the item for a full refund instead, our standard Return & Refund Policy applies.

Meet all six conditions and we'll credit the price difference to your original payment method — no return, exchange, or reduced refund involved. If even one condition isn't met, we'll explain exactly why in our reply.

Pricing events excluded from adjustment

Flash sales and doorbuster events with a published start and end time, clearance or final-sale pricing on discontinued items, bundle or multi-item discounts, loyalty or rewards-program pricing, employee or trade pricing, prices found on any site other than myluxebackyard.com, and any price that resulted from a coupon, promo code, or gift-with-purchase offer are not eligible for a price adjustment under this policy.

This doesn't reduce your other rights

If an item you received is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, that's a returns matter, not a pricing matter — our separate Return & Refund Policy and your statutory consumer rights under state law apply regardless of anything written here.

How we set and display prices across the site

Accurate pricing matters to us as much as it matters to you. Here's what governs every price you see on myluxebackyard.com.

All prices in U.S. dollars

Every listed price is in USD and reflects the item only. Shipping is calculated at checkout and applicable sales tax is added based on your delivery address.

Genuine former prices only

When we show a crossed-out regular price next to a sale price, that regular price was actually and recently offered — never an inflated figure created only to exaggerate a discount.

Time-limited offers are real

Countdown timers and "limited time" messaging on the site reflect the actual start and end of a promotional period, not a fake per-visitor clock designed to pressure a purchase.

Prices can change without notice

Like any retailer, we adjust prices for reasons that include cost changes, seasonal demand, and promotions. The price charged is always the one displayed at the moment you complete checkout.

If A Price Is Wrong

How we handle genuine pricing errors

Large outdoor structures involve many product variants, and despite careful review, a listing price can occasionally be entered incorrectly due to a technical or human error.

If we discover a pricing error on an item you've ordered — for example, a decimal point or shipping-cost mistake that resulted in an obviously incorrect price — we will contact you before charging or shipping anything. You'll always have the choice to purchase at the corrected, correct price, or cancel the order for a full refund with no penalty.

We will never charge an order at an erroneous price without your consent first. This protection exists independently of the price adjustment window described above, since it addresses a mistake rather than a genuine price change.

FTC Guides Against Deceptive Pricing

Former price comparisons must be genuine
Federal guidance requires that a "regular" or "was" price shown next to a discount actually reflect a price the item was offered at for a reasonably substantial, recent period of time.
No fictitious markdowns
Advertising an inflated original price solely to make a sale price look more impressive is a deceptive practice we do not engage in.
Truthful urgency claims
"Limited time," "while supplies last," and countdown-timer messaging must reflect real, verifiable conditions, not manufactured scarcity designed to rush a purchase decision.

State Pricing & Consumer Protection Law

State false-advertising statutes
Many states, including New Jersey through its Consumer Fraud Act, separately prohibit misleading former-price advertising and unfair or deceptive pricing practices at the state level.
California's former-price statute
California Business and Professions Code Section 17501 specifically requires that any advertised former price be one the item was actually and recently sold at, a standard we apply site-wide, not only for California shoppers.
Sales tax is calculated by destination
Applicable state and local sales tax is calculated based on your shipping address at checkout, in line with each state's own tax rules.

How to request a price adjustment, start to finish

Email support@myluxebackyard.com or call 609-354-7215 with your order number and a link or screenshot of the current lower price.

We verify eligibility

We confirm the item, variant, price, and promotion type against the six conditions listed above, usually within one business day.

We confirm the outcome by email

If approved, we'll confirm the exact credit amount before processing it. If not eligible, we'll explain the specific reason in writing.

Credit issued to original payment

Approved adjustments are refunded to your original payment method within 5 business days of confirmation, showing as a partial refund on your statement.

Price adjustment requests are handled Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. We aim to respond to every request within one business day.
