Our Approach

A retailer's honest account of how warranty coverage actually works here

My Luxe Backyard is owned and operated by Navarro Living LLC. We are a retailer, not a manufacturer. We select pergolas, gazebos, patio furniture, fire pits, saunas, and cold plunges from established outdoor living brands and authorized distributors, then sell them to customers across the Continental United States.

Because we don't build these products ourselves, most of the protection behind them comes from the manufacturer that does. This page explains, category by category, what that manufacturer coverage typically includes, how long it usually runs, and what falls outside of it. Where an item is sold without a manufacturer warranty, or as a final-sale or as-is item, we say so clearly on the product page itself, and again here.

We wrote this page specifically for the products we actually sell. It isn't a copied template, and we update it whenever our supplier base or warranty terms change.

What the words in this policy actually mean

Warranty terminology gets used loosely. Here's exactly what each term means when we use it on this page or on a product listing.

Manufacturer's Warranty

A written promise from the company that designed or built the product, covering defects in materials or workmanship for a stated period. We pass these terms on exactly as the manufacturer sets them.

Limited Warranty

A manufacturer's warranty that covers specific parts or damage types rather than an entire product. A single item, like a sauna, often carries different limited terms for its electrical components, its wood cabin, and its hardware.

Implied Warranty of Merchantability

An unwritten, legally automatic promise that a product will do what it's reasonably supposed to do. This exists under state law independently of anything written here or printed on a box.

Final Sale / As-Is Item

A product sold without a manufacturer warranty and without our standard return eligibility. Always disclosed clearly on the product page before you buy, never hidden in checkout.

Coverage By Product Type

How warranty coverage breaks down across what we sell

Outdoor structures, gas appliances, electrical equipment, and furniture each carry different warranty conventions. Here's a transparent, category-specific breakdown of what's typically covered and for how long. Exact terms always live on the individual product page and in the manufacturer documentation included with your order, since coverage can vary by brand and model.

Pergolas & Louvered Roofs

Frame: 1–5 yrs · Motor/canopy: shorter term

Aluminum and steel frames are typically covered against structural manufacturing defects for one to five years, depending on the brand. Motorized louvre systems and retractable canopy mechanisms usually carry their own, shorter electrical or mechanical warranty. Canopy fabric is covered against manufacturing defects only; fading or wear from sun and weather is expected and excluded.

Gazebos

Hardtop & frame: 1–3 yrs · Soft goods: limited

Hardtop roof panels and the supporting frame are generally covered against structural defects for one to several years. Mesh netting, privacy curtains, and zipper hardware are treated as wear items and typically carry shorter or no separate coverage beyond the initial inspection period after delivery.

Patio Furniture Sets

Frame: 1–3 yrs · Cushions: defects only

Frames, whether aluminum, steel, or woven rattan and wicker over a metal skeleton, are usually covered against structural defects for one to three years. Cushions, cushion covers, and upholstery fabric are covered against manufacturing defects only; color fading, mildew from improper storage, and normal wear are not covered.

Fire Pits

Burner & ignition: 1–2 yrs · Finish: shorter term

Burner assemblies, ignition systems, and gas control valves on propane units are covered under the manufacturer's warranty against defects, often for one to two years, reflecting the safety-regulated nature of these components. The firebowl, finish, and decorative elements are typically covered separately and for a shorter period.

Saunas

Heater & controls: 1–2 yrs · Cabin: defects only

The electrical heater unit and control panel are covered under the manufacturer's warranty, generally one to two years, and are built to meet ETL or equivalent electrical safety certification. The wood cabin structure is covered against material defects; minor checking, warping, or surface cracks from humidity and temperature cycling are an expected characteristic of solid wood and are not treated as a defect.

Cold Plunges

Chiller & compressor: 1–5 yrs · Shell: shorter term

The chiller's electrical components and compressor are covered under the manufacturer's warranty, with the compressor itself sometimes carrying a longer separate term, commonly one to five years depending on the brand. The tub shell, insulation, and plumbing fittings are covered against manufacturing defects for a shorter period.

Exact warranty lengths, registration steps, and the manufacturer's claims process are included in the documentation packed with your order, and we're glad to share them with you before you buy. Email support@myluxebackyard.com with the product name and we'll send over the manufacturer's full warranty terms.
Legal Framework

The federal and state law behind this policy

This page is written to operate within, not around, the laws that already protect you as a buyer. Two bodies of law matter most here.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act

Plain-language disclosure
Federal law requires that, whenever a written warranty is offered, its full terms be available to you before you buy, in language you can actually read and understand.
Full vs. limited warranties
The Act requires warrantors to clearly label coverage as "full" or "limited." We pass through whichever designation the manufacturer of your item has chosen, exactly as written.
No unlawful tie-ins
A manufacturer generally cannot void your warranty just because you used a third-party part or an independent repair service, unless that part is provided free of charge or the manufacturer holds a specific waiver.

Your Implied Warranty Rights

Automatic, not optional
Every state creates implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability, that apply to consumer purchases whether or not a seller mentions them.
Cannot be removed everywhere
Some states limit or prohibit sellers from disclaiming implied warranties on items sold for personal or household use. Where that applies to you, your statutory rights stand regardless of any wording in this policy or on a product page.
Independent of this page
Nothing in this Warranty & Warranty Disclaimer Policy is intended to reduce, waive, or limit any right you already hold under federal or your state's consumer protection law.

This section is provided for transparency and general information. It is not legal advice, and warranty rights can vary by state. If you have questions about how these laws apply to your specific situation, we'd encourage you to contact your state consumer protection office or a qualified attorney.

The Claims Process

How to file a warranty claim, start to finish

01

Contact us within your coverage window

Email support@myluxebackyard.com or call 609-354-7215 with your order number and a description of the issue.

02

Share photos and any relevant details

A few clear photos of the issue, and the product's serial or model tag if it has one, let us move straight to a resolution instead of back-and-forth.

03

We coordinate with the manufacturer, or handle it directly

Depending on the item, we either submit the claim to the manufacturer on your behalf or resolve it ourselves, whichever gets you a faster answer.

04

Repair, replacement, or part, confirmed in writing

You'll receive a written outcome by email: a repair, a replacement part, a full unit replacement, or, where the manufacturer's terms call for it, a refund.

Warranty service hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. We aim to respond to every warranty inquiry within three business days.

Outside the scope of warranty coverage

Like any manufacturer warranty, the coverage described on this page does not extend to normal wear and cosmetic change (UV fading of fabric or wood weathering, surface scratches from regular use), damage from improper assembly, installation, or anchoring, use of a product outside its intended purpose or stated weight or load limits, damage from extreme weather events such as named storms or hail, or unauthorized repairs or modifications made by anyone other than the manufacturer or an authorized servicer.

This doesn't reduce your other rights

Items excluded from manufacturer warranty coverage may still be eligible for return under our separate 30-Day Return & Refund Policy, and your statutory implied warranty rights under state law continue to apply on top of anything written here.
