Our Approach

A retailer's honest account of what we collect and how you can limit it

My Luxe Backyard is owned and operated by Navarro Living LLC. We are a small outdoor living retailer, not a data company. We collect the information needed to take your order, ship your pergola, gazebo, patio set, fire pit, sauna, or cold plunge, respond to your questions, and, if you've agreed to hear from us, send occasional marketing emails or texts.

Like most online retailers, we also work with a small number of advertising and analytics partners who help us understand which pages are useful and show our products to people who may be interested in them. Depending on your state of residence, some of this activity may legally count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, even when no money changes hands, because data is exchanged for advertising purposes.

This page gives you a direct, no-account-needed way to opt out of that activity, category by category, without needing to read a full privacy policy first. It doesn't replace our Privacy Policy, which explains our data practices in full; it's the action page that sits alongside it.

What the terms on this page actually mean

Privacy law uses precise terms that get used loosely elsewhere. Here's exactly what each one means when we use it on this page.

Sale of Personal Information

Under state privacy law, "sale" can include exchanging personal information for money or other value, even data shared with an advertising partner in exchange for ad services, not only a direct sale of a customer list.

Sharing / Targeted Advertising

Sending information about your visit, such as pages viewed or items added to cart, to an advertising or analytics partner so they can show you or people like you relevant ads on other sites and apps.

Profiling

Using automated methods to evaluate aspects of you, such as predicting what you might buy next, based on your browsing or purchase history, without a human reviewing each decision.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

A browser or extension setting that automatically signals an opt-out preference to every website you visit. Where required by law, we honor a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing.

Your Choices

Six ways to limit how we use your information

Each of these can be opted out of on its own. Opting out of one does not opt you out of the others, and you can change your mind at any time using the form further down this page.

Do Not Sell or Share My Info

Advertising & analytics partners

Stops us from sharing your browsing or purchase data with advertising and analytics partners for cross-site targeted advertising purposes. Order processing and shipping continue as normal.

Automated Profiling

Product recommendations

Stops automated use of your browsing history to build a profile predicting your preferences or likelihood to purchase specific outdoor living products.

Marketing Emails

Newsletter & promotions

Unsubscribes you from promotional emails about new arrivals, sales, and restocks. Transactional emails, such as order confirmations and shipping updates, continue since they're required to fulfill your order.

Marketing Text Messages

SMS / MMS promotions

Stops promotional text messages if you've opted in. You can also opt out any time by replying STOP to any marketing text, which takes effect immediately under federal telemarketing law.

Non-Essential Cookies & Tracking

Analytics & ad cookies

Limits non-essential cookies used for analytics and advertising. Cookies required for the cart, checkout, and basic site security remain active since the site cannot function without them.

Third-Party Data Sharing

Beyond order fulfillment

Limits sharing your information with third parties for any purpose beyond what's required to deliver your order, such as our carriers, payment processor, and platform provider.

Not sure which of these applies to you? Select as many as you'd like on the form below, or email support@myluxebackyard.com and describe what you'd like stopped in your own words. We'll match it to the right category.
Legal Framework

The federal and state law behind this page

This page is built to give effect to rights that already exist under law, not to invent new ones. Depending on where you live, one or more of the following applies to you.

State Comprehensive Privacy Laws

California (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA)
Gives California residents the right to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information, limit use of sensitive data, and object to automated profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.
New Jersey Data Privacy Act
Applies directly to us as a New Jersey-registered company and gives New Jersey residents opt-out rights over targeted advertising, sale of data, and certain profiling.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut & Utah
The VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, and UCPA each give residents of those states similar rights to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling.
Other comprehensive state laws
Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, and other states with comprehensive privacy statutes extend comparable opt-out rights to their residents, which we honor through this same form.

Federal Law

CAN-SPAM Act
Requires every marketing email to include a working unsubscribe method and requires us to honor that request within 10 business days. We aim to process email opt-outs immediately.
Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
Governs marketing text messages and calls. Replying STOP to a text, or requesting removal here, ends marketing texts to that number.
Section 5 of the FTC Act
Prohibits unfair or deceptive practices, including ignoring a stated opt-out preference or misrepresenting how personal information is collected, used, or shared.
Non-discrimination guarantee
No applicable law allows us to charge you a different price, deny you service, or provide a lower level of service because you exercised any right described on this page, and we don't.

This section is provided for transparency and general information. It is not legal advice, and your specific rights depend on your state of residence. If you have questions about how these laws apply to your situation, we'd encourage you to contact your state attorney general's office or a qualified attorney.

Submit Your Request

Privacy opt-out request form

Fill in your details, select the categories you'd like to opt out of, and submit. This opens a pre-filled email to our privacy team from your own email client; nothing is stored on this page, and no account is required.

What would you like to opt out of? Select all that apply.

I confirm that I am the individual described above, or an authorized agent submitting this request on their behalf, and that the information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge. *

The Process

What happens after you submit a request

01

We confirm receipt

You'll receive an acknowledgment that your request was received, typically within a few business days.

02

We verify it's you

We match the name, email, and any order details you provide against our records to confirm the request is legitimate before acting on it.

03

We update our systems

We apply your selected opt-outs across our marketing platform, advertising partners, and internal records, and stop the relevant data sharing going forward.

04

We confirm it's done

You'll receive written confirmation by email once your request has been completed, within 15 business days of a verified request.

Requests are handled Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. If we can't verify your identity from the information provided, we'll follow up by email to ask for one additional confirming detail, such as a recent order number, rather than deny the request outright.

What opting out doesn't change

Opting out under this form does not stop the limited data processing required to take, ship, and support an order you place with us, such as sharing your address with our shipping carriers or your payment details with our payment processor. It also doesn't delete your personal information; for deletion or access requests, please contact us separately using the same channels below.

Your rights don't depend on this page

This form is a convenience. Your underlying rights exist under your state's privacy law regardless of whether you use it, and nothing on this page is intended to reduce, waive, or limit any right you already hold under federal or state law.
